At the very beginning, the only question that interested me was that of the body. I was fascinated by the constant clashes of the discursive and pictorial spheres that like on a battlefield tried to define it. Seen from a biological viewpoint, the human body appears at the intersections of many systems, regulated particularly by the political and the economic échelons. Fortunately, our bodies can also be the ground for innovative ways to slip out of their control. For Quebec philosopher Michaël Lachance, individuals are constantly trying to escape the cultural hold.
